Men's Golf takes third at Saint John's Fall Invite

SARTELL, Minn. (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's golf team moved up a spot to finish in third place on Sunday at the Saint John's Fall Invitational.  

Results

After shooting a team score of 301 on Saturday, the Blugolds turned in a 286 at the Blackberry Ridge Golf Course to finish with a two-round score of 587 (+15). The University of St. Thomas won the tournament with a score of 582 (+10).

Cole Jahnke (So. – Stillwater, MN) led UW-Eau Claire with a 68 on Sunday to finish with a two-round score of 147 (+4) and tied for eighth place overall.

Alex Rogan (Sr. - Lino Lakes, MN/Centennial), Brady Thomas (Sr. – Middleton, WI) and Isaac Prefontaine (Jr. – New Franken, WI/Preble) tied for 13th overall after finishing with a two-round score of 148 while Austin van Sytzama (Jr. – Delano, MN) tied for 22nd with a 150.

The Blugolds will head back to Minnesota next weekend as they compete in the Twin Cities Classic where they will play at the Links at Northfork on Saturday, the Elk River Golf Club on Sunday and the Minnesota Valley Golf Course on Monday.
