Eau Claire, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The No. 22 ranked University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's golf team hosted their annual Frank Wrigglesworth Invitational on Sunday at Wild Ridge Golf Course. The Blugolds would finish tied for 1^st place and the second team finished tied for 6^th place after round one.

Results

Alex Rogan (Sr. - Lino Lakes, MN/Centennial) and Isaac Prefontaine (Jr. – New Franken, WI/Preble) would both finish in the top four spots on the day to help the Blugolds finish with a team score one under-par. Out of the 17 teams competing, the Blugolds second team managed to keep within just 16 strokes over-par to slot themselves in sixth.

Joining Rogan and Prefontaine in the under-par category was Cole Jahnke (So. – Stillwater, MN), who is tied for seventh. Jake Reckin (Jr. – Bellevue, WA) finished at even par on the day to help solidify a great finish for the second team.

Day two of the Frank Wrigglesworth Invitational will be played on Monday, September 8^th at the Eau Claire Country Club. The teams will begin with a shotgun start at 9:30 AM.
