No. 25 Men's Golf tied for 2nd after Rd. 1 of Augsburg Fall Invite

HAM LAKE, Minn. (Blugolds.com) – The No. 25 University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's golf team is tied for second after round one of the Augsburg Fall Invitational on Saturday.

Results

The Blugolds' A squad is tied with host Augsburg after shooting team scores of 299 (+11) at the Majestic Oaks Golf Club. The University of Manitoba is in first with a 297. UW-Eau Claire's B squad is in a three-way tie for fourth with Concordia College (MN) and Waldorf University with team scores of 305.

Cole Jahnke (So. – Stillwater, MN) and Alex Rogan (Sr. – Lino Lakes, MN/Centennial) lead the Blugolds with the duo tied for seventh overall after shooting a first round score of 74. Isaac Prefontaine (Jr. – New Franken, WI/Green Bay Preble) and Ethan Carrick (Fr. – Sun Prairie, WI) followed with 75's and are tied for 12th. Connor Brown (Fr. – Racine, WI/Union) and Austin van Sytzama (Jr. – Delano, MN) are also in the top 20 as both are tied for 19th after turning in scores of 76.

Eau Claire will look to move up the leaderboard in the second and final round on Sunday.
