No. 25 Men's Golf in 10th after round one of Illinois Wesleyan Invite

NORMAL, Ill. (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's golf team opened the spring season on Friday at the Illinois Wesleyan Invitational. After one round, the Blugolds are in 10th place.

Day 1 Results

The Blugolds, ranked No. 25 in the latest Division III Bushnell Golfweek Coaches Poll, tallied a team score of 306, with Brady Thomas (Jr. – Middleton, WI) leading the way with a 73 and putting him in a tie for 12th overall. Nick Bauer (Sr.- Oshkosh, WI/North) followed with a 76 and is tied for 41st while Cole Jahnke's (Fr.- Stillwater, MN) 78 is tied for 72nd. Alex Rogan (Jr. – Lino Lakes, MN/Centennial) is tied for 77th (79) and Jake Reckin's (So. – Bellevue, NE) is tied for 85th (80).

Illinois Wesleyan leads the field with a 284 while Wesleyan's Drew Pershing and Parkland College's Evan MacLean are tied for first individually after shooting an opening round score of 67 (-5).
