Men's Golf takes second at Wrigglesworth Blugold Invite, Isaacson wins individual title

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's golf team took second place at the Frank Wrigglesworth Blugold Invite held at Wild Ridge Golf Course, while Ryan Isaacson (Sr. – Eau Claire, WI/Memorial) took home medalist honors.

Isaacson led the first UW-Eau Claire team to a second round team score of 302 to finish at 607, but Augsburg just edged the Blugolds, shooting a 309 to finish at 606 and take home the team title. The second Blugold team finished fourth with a score of 616.

Isaacson shot a 72 in round two to finish at 142, seven strokes ahead of the five golfers in second place which included Isaac Prefontaine (Fr. - New Franklin, WI/ Green Bay Preble) who also turned in a second round score of 72, jumping up 18 spots from Sunday's round.

Jake Reckin (Fr. – Bellevue, NE) followed in seventh place, shooting a 79 on Monday to finish at 150.

Grant Burish(So. – Janesville, WI/Shattuck-St. Mary's) and Alex Rogan (So. – Lino Lakes, MN/Centennial) shot identical scores in both rounds (77, 76) to finish tied for 16th with a score of 153.

Also finishing in the top 25 was Jack Kluge (So. Forest Lake, MN) who tied for 19th with a 76 (154) and Daniel Burger (Jr. – Superior, WI) who tied for 24th with a 78 (155).
