Men's Golf finishes fourth at Twin Cities Classic

LE SUEUR, Minn. (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's golf team finished fourth at the Twin Cities Classic on Monday.

Final Results

After three rounds, the Blugolds finished with a team score of 894 (+40) while Saint John's took first with a score of 883 (+27).

Brady Hanson (Sr.-Woodbury, MN/East Ridge) led the Blugolds, tying for fourth place, shooting a 79 on Monday to finish at 218 (+4). Michael Immekus (Fr.-Greendale, WI/Catholic Memorial) shot a 75 for the third round in a row, tying for 12th with a 225 (+11) while Joey Dreier (Sr.-New London, MN) also finished in the top 20, shooting a 79 on Monday for an overall score of 227 (+13) to tie for 19th.

"I'm so proud of the men this weekend," said Head Coach Courtney Everett. "Today was probably the hardest wind conditions they've ever played. Gusts were about 30-40 mph and these guys grinded every shot. We scored the second lowest today and that just goes to show how talented our team can compete and hold up against some of the best teams in our region and the nation."

Next up for the Blugolds is the Golfweek Invitational on October 9-11 at The Raven Golf Club in Destin, Florida.
