Competing as an individual, Hanson finished strong with an even par on his last nine holes at the Mendon Golf Club. The junior is tied for 29nd in a field of 210.

"I think this is such a great experience for Brady as a junior to play in such a competitive field," said Head Coach Courtney Everett. "Today was a good round although he was robbed of quite a few birdie putts. He knows going into tomorrow to power further up the field and to never be satisfied."

After round two the field will be cut to the top 15 teams and top six individuals. Hanson currently is tied individually for sixth place. Round two will begin Wednesday at the Midvale Country Club.
