NORTHFORK, Minn. (blugolds.com) - The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's golf team is moving up the leaderboard at the Twin Cities Classic with the Blugolds tied for seventh place after round two at the Links at Northfork Golf Course.
UW-Eau Claire turned in a team score of 309 (+21) on Sunday, six more strokes than day one leaving them with a total score of 612 through two days. Connor Frawley (SO.-Onalaska, WI/Holmen) was able to match his round one score with another 73 (+1), which makes him tied for third. Brady Hanson (Jr.-Woodbury, MN/East Ridge) has now moved into ninth place with a second round score of 73 (+1).
St. Thomas leads the tournament with a total score of 589 (+13) with players, Pete Sienko and Nick Nielson leading the way. Sienko and Nielson combine for a total score of 290.
The Blugolds will continue action on Monday at the Ridges at Sand Creek.
