Men's Golf Finishes Eighth at Saint John's Fall Invitational

SAUK CENTRE, Minn. (Blugolds.com) – After being tied for second after round one of the Saint John's Fall Invitational, the UW-Eau Claire men's golf team dropped back six spots during the second round and finished in eighth place out of 18 teams today.

Results

The Blugolds shot 304 the first day and 320 the second day to finish with 624 strokes. The University of St. Thomas (Minn.) won the event with 609 strokes.

The top Blugold finisher was Joey Dreier (So.-New London, Minn.), who tied for 22nd place with 156 strokes.

Winning the tournament was Alex Kapraun from St. Thomas with 143 strokes (-1).

Next weekend the Blugolds will be home for the Frank Wigglesworth Blugold Invitational. The first round will be contested Sunday while the final round will be Monday.
