Men's Basketball defeats Saints 71-52 in season opener

DULUTH, Minn. (Blugolds.com) – Three Blugolds finished in double figures as the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's basketball team opened the 2019-20 season with 71-52 win over the College of St. Scholastica on Friday night.

 Cole Rabedeaux (Sr. - Poulsbo, WA/North Kitsap) paced the Blugolds with a game-high 18 points while Carter Brooks (Jr. – Lakeville, MN/North) and Cam Kuepers (Madison/Lakeside Lutheran) followed with 15 and 14 points, respectively.

Clay Kujawa pulled down a game-high 12 rebounds and tallied two blocks and a steal to go along with seven points.

The Blugolds shot 50 percent from the field (29-for-58) and 36.4 percent from three (4-for-11) while holding the Saints to 33.9 percent (19-for-56) and 25 percent (5-for-20).
