Men's Basketball falls to No. 3 Titans

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) - The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's basketball team played No. 3 UW-Oshkosh Saturday evening and fell to the Titans, 89-62.

The Blugolds trailed by a score of 47-33 at the end of the half, yet converted a respectable 44.4 percent of their shots.  The Titans had three players with double-digit points who accounted for 37 of their total points during the first half.  It was all Oshkosh during the second half as they were able to increase their lead to over 30 points.  Eau Claire made improvements in their game mid-way through the second, but the lead was too much to overcome. 

Steve Christiansen (Sr. – Apple Valley, MN) led the Blugolds with 10 points and also tallied a team-high four assists. Cole Rabedeaux (Jr. – Poulsbo, WA/North Kitsap) pulled down a team-high seven rebounds. 

The Blugolds netted 42.1 percent of their shots during the game compared to the Titans 46.4 percent.
