EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (blugolds.com) - The 2018-19 schedule has been released for the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's basketball team. Following a difficult season during the 2017-18 school year, Head Coach Matt Siverling's squad is ready to get back to form that saw them reach the conference tournament the year prior.

Full Schedule

The season kicks off at Zorn Arena on November 8 against St. Olaf. The Blugolds follow that up a week later with a tournament at UW-Stout that is about as close as you can get without hosting a tip-off tournament. After a slew of non-conference games throughout the rest of November and December, Eau Claire heads to Nashville, Tenn. with a tournament to round out the calendar year.

"We are very excited about our non-conference schedule, especially our trip to Nashville to compete in the Music City Classic," said Siverling. "We look forward to playing some very competitive teams both at home in Zorn Arena and on the road."

The competition, as always, will be strong when Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) play begins on January 2. The Blugolds kick off their WIAC season at UW-River Falls. Their conference home opener takes place a week later when they host UW-La Crosse. Zorn Arena will welcome UW-Stevens Point (Jan. 12), UW-Stout (Jan. 19), and UW-Platteville (Jan. 30) in the first month of 2019.

In February, Eau Claire hosts River Falls on the 13th with the regular season finale at home against UW-Oshkosh on the 16th.

The Blugolds look to improve upon last season's 12-13 record (4-10 in conference) in the 2018-19 campaign ahead.
