Men's Basketball announces 2016-17 schedule

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's basketball team has announced the 2016-17 schedule.

Full Schedule

UW-Eau Claire will play an exhibition game at Winona State for the second straight season on November 7 and will officially open the season at home against St. Norbert College on November 15. The Green Knights will be a good test for the Blugolds as they are coming off a season where they won their sixth Midwest Conference title in seven years and made their fifth NCAA Tournament appearance.

The Blugolds will look to pick up where they left off a year ago in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) as the Blugolds finished second, their highest finish since 2001. UW-Eau Claire will open the conference season at UW-River Falls on January 2.

The 2016-17 will also highlight two trips, the first to St. Louis for the Lopata Classic December 2-3 and to the D3 Hoops Classic in Las Vegas December 28-29.

"It's part of our mission to provide a first-class experience for our student-athletes," said Head Coach Matt Siverling. "These trips will truly enhance the student-athlete experience and we look forward to another great season of Blugold Basketball."
