
EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's basketball team has earned the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Team Academic Excellence Award, while four individuals secured Honors Court recognition from the for the 2015-16 season.

Individually, Dan Becken, Andrew Duxbury, Jacob Kohner and Jared Schneidermann earned a spot on the Honors Court.
"We are extremely proud of the work our players do in the classroom," said Head Coach Matt Siverling. "This award is a testament to how dedicated our players are both on and off the court."
The Blugolds received the Team Academic Excellence Award for achieving a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better.
In order to be named to the NABC Honors Court, a student-athlete must meet a high standard of academic criteria. The qualifications are as follows: Academically, a junior or senior and a varsity player; Cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the 2015-16 academic year; Students must have matriculated at least one year at their current institution; and member of a NCAA Division I, II, III, or NAIA Division I or II institution with a NABC member coach.
