Concordia had control from the get-go, mounting a 12-point lead in the first half. The Blugolds would erase the early deficit but Concordia still held control at halftime 41-40.

But 13 second half points for George Diekelman (So. – Stevens Point, WI) helped key the Blugolds down the stretch as they finished the game with their largest lead of the night.

The Blugolds dominated off the glass, outrebounding Concordia 37-26 which helped secure their second victory of the season.

Diekelman finished with 21 points, three assists and two steals as the Blugolds shot 56.9 percent from the floor (33-58) overall.  Jack Martinek (Jr. – New Brighton, MN) added 17 points on the night and Chris Duff (So. – Walker, MN) contributed 15 points and seven rebounds from the bench, his best of the season.

The Blugolds (2-2) don't play until Sunday, Nov. 29 when they travel to take on Northland College at 3:00 p.m. They'll be back home at Zorn Arena next Friday, Dec. 4 for Faculty/Staff Appreciation Night, when they battle Buena Vista (Iowa).
