Blugold Basketball to Promote "Stand Up to Bullying" Campaign

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) - The doubleheader basketball games featuring UW-Eau Claire vs. UW-Stout scheduled for Sat., Feb. 9 in Zorn Arena will promote a "Stand Up to Bullying" campaign. The men's game will begin at 3 p.m., and the women's game will get underway about 5 p.m.

The "Stand Up to Bullying Campaign" is endorsed by the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Student Affairs Division, the Athletic Department and the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

This promotion will feature representatives from outside agencies providing information to help prevent bullying. Andy Wise, Safety Education Officer of the Eau Claire Police Department, Jeni Gronemus, Psychotherapist of Sacred Heart Hospital, and Justin Patchin, Associate Professor of Criminal Justice at UW-Eau Claire and Co-Director of the Cyberbullying Research Center, will be on hand to pass out information and answer questions.
