Pitcher: Zana Lorbetske, Junior, Rhinelander, WI/Three Lakes
Despite a rough start against No. 4 Texas-Tyler, Lorbetske dialed in the rest of the week, recording 37 strikeouts, including six versus No. 3 East Texas Baptist and nine against No. 22 Louisiana College. The junior only gave up nine earned runs in 29.2 innings while issuing 13 walks for a 3-2 record. In her final five games of the spring trip, Lorbetske boasted a 1.93 ERA and 2.73 for the week. In seven appearances Lorbetske struck out 37 batters in 29.2 innings pitches while allowing just 13 walks.
Position: Kelsey Meredith, Infielder, Sophomore, Golden Valley, MN/Armstrong
Meredith made her presence known in her six starts during the final games of the Blugolds’ spring trip including both games versus No. 3 East Texas Baptist. The sophomore earned her first start of the week against Texas-Dallas on Mar. 24 and went 5-for-6 on the day. Meredith finished the week hitting .556 (10-for-18) with seven RBI’s, a double and homerun for a .778 slugging percentage and a .579 on-base percentage.
