EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – UW-Eau Claire Athletics launched a new website today at Blugolds.com, the seventh version in history, Director of Athletics Dan Schumacher announced today.

“We’re extremely excited about the launch of the new website to give our fans, alumni and anyone interested in Blugold Athletics enhanced coverage of our teams,” Schumacher said.

The Blugolds first began using a website in 1997, and since then it has gone through six design changes. The biggest change users will notice is a responsive design, which means there will be a more consistent look across desktop, tablet and mobile devices.

Designed and developed by PrestoSports, a leading provider of websites for college and high school athletic departments, Blugolds.com will feature enhanced video coverage and an updated navigation system to help users find information quicker.

While a big focus of the new website will be to provide current information about Blugold teams, it also integrates historical content to give users access to a vast array of information on the history of Blugold Athletics. Users have access to more than 700 schedules that contain almost 15,000 events, more than 800 rosters that contain almost 20,000 athletes, and nearly 5,000 news releases along with a number of other types of information.
