Women's Tennis
UW-La Crosse 5, UW-Eau Claire 4
The women's tennis team split wins this weekend, beating Winona State University (Minn.) 7-2 Friday before narrowly falling to conference opponent UW-La Crosse 5-4 Saturday. In singles play, Madison Rossebo and Sarah Henderson won both of their matches this weekend. Two doubles teams also won both of their matches this weekend.

The women's volleyball team split wins today at the Elmhurst Invitational, falling to St. Olaf College (Minn.) 3-2 to start the day and beating St. Mary's (Ind.) 3-2 to end the day at R.A. Faganel Hall. In the opening match against the Oles, St. Olaf won the first two sets 25-17 and 27-25 before Eau Claire won the next two 25-20 and 25-16. In the fifth set, the Blugolds fell 15-13. In the second match, the teams went back and forth before the Blugolds came out on top 3-2. St. Mary's won the first set 25-22, Eau Claire won the next one 25-16, then St. Mary's won again 25-22 and the Blugolds followed with a 25-18 win. In the fifth set, the Blugolds won 15-7.

Football
UW-Stevens Point 30, UW-Eau Claire 3
The football team was unable to get by 16th-ranked UW-Stevens Point, falling to the Pointers 30-3 at Community Stadium today. The Blugolds were down 3-0 after one quarter but then allowed two quick touchdowns in the second quarter to get down 16-0. Eau Claire scored on a field goal, making the halftime score 16-3, but the Pointers scored two more touchdowns in the fourth quarter.

Women's Soccer
UW-Eau Claire 4, UW-Stevens Point 0
The women's soccer team earned a big WIAC victory defeating UW-Stevens Point 4-0 here today at Bollinger Field. The Blugolds have won four of their last six meetings with the Pointers. The four-goal victory is the largest margin of victory for the Blugolds in series history and ties the most goals ever scored against the Pointers when they earned a 4-3 overtime victory on October 6, 2007. Four different Blugolds scored goals in today's game.
