EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) - Two UW-Eau Claire Athletics teams were in action today, women's volleyball and men's tennis, both on the road.

Women's Volleyball

UW-Eau Claire 3, UW-Superior 0 (25-15, 25-21, 25-22)

The women's volleyball team kicked off conference play with a 3-0 victory over UW-Superior at Mertz Mortorelli Gymnasium tonight. Eau Claire won with set scores of 25-15, 25-21 and 25-22. The win was the Blugolds' 36th straight over the Yellowjackets, their last loss coming Oct. 1, 1994. Eau Claire has not lost at UW-Superior since Sept. 22, 1990. The Blugolds now lead the series 70-21, holding a 62-2 record against Superior since 1985.
