EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) - Two UW-Eau Claire Athletics teams were in action today, women's volleyball and women's tennis, both on the road.
Women's Volleyball

UW-Eau Claire 3, Gustavus Adolphus (Minn.) 0
The volleyball team opened the Augsburg College Invitational with two 3-0 victories, beating Bethany Lutheran College (Minn.) and Gustavus Adolphus College (Minn.) today. The Blugolds had little trouble in the first match, beating Bethany Lutheran 25-18, 25-17 and 25-11. In the second match, the Blugolds committed just 10 errors, improving seven over the first match. They hit .240 and recorded 38 kills while winning against Gustavus 25-21, 25-13 and 25-17.

Women's Tennis
UW-Eau Claire 8, Elmhurst (Ill.) 1
The women's tennis team picked up an 8-1 victory, defeating Elmhurst College (Ill.) at Western Racquet & Fitness Club in Green Bay tonight. The only loss for the Blugolds came at No. 1 singles. Olivia Gallagher dropped the fewest number of games of any singles player, winning 6-0, 6-0 in the No. 6 spot. Colleen McCullough and Sarah Henderson won 8-0 at No. 3 doubles.
