EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – UW-Eau Claire Director of Athletics Dan Schumacher has announced the creation of the Blugolds Sports Network and a partnership with Clear Channel Media+Entertainment to air Blugold football games this fall.

“Forming the Blugolds Sports Network is just the first step towards future plans for enhanced coverage of UW-Eau Claire Athletics,” Schumacher said. “These enhancements would consist of television, radio, digital and social media. This a new step into the future for Blugold Athletics. We look forward to working with Clear Channel Media+Entertainment and multiple corporate partners to give fans in depth coverage of our teams.”

The Blugolds Sports Network will focus on reaching new locations thru multiple media outlets in the greater northwest Wisconsin region, featuring Blugold Football, Basketball, Hockey and additional sports programming.

Blugold football games will air on Sports Radio 1400 WBIZ in the Eau Claire area and worldwide on iHeartRadio. Mike Sullivan, who has been the voice of the Blugolds for almost 40 years, will continue to call games.

"We are proud to continue the nearly half-century tradition of covering UW-Eau Claire football, especially with the exciting new atmosphere surrounding Blugold Athletics,” Sullivan said.
