EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) - Two UW-Eau Claire student-athletes have been recognized by being named an Athlete of the Week for the 32nd week of the 2013-14 season.

Men’s Golf

Sean Murphy, Junior, Middleton, Wis.

Murphy, who golfed as an individual at the Edgewood College Spring Quadrangular on Friday, led the Blugolds with 75 strokes to take second place. Kenny Rucker from Edgewood also shot 75 but claimed medalist honors with a better score on the back nine. As a team, the Blugolds won the event.

Women’s Golf

Kate Engler, Junior, Beloit, Wis./F.J. Turner

Engler helped lead the Blugolds to a fourth-place finish at the Blugold Spring Invitational to close the regular season after she tied for fifth place out of 70 golfers with 163 strokes.
