
EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) - Six UW-Eau Claire Athletics teams were in action today in four different states. The softball team was the only team at home.

As the end of the softball season approaches, every game holds more importance as the teams gear up for the WIAC tournament. With home field advantage and higher seeds still up for grabs, UW-Eau Claire and UW-Oshkosh squared off for a doubleheader Saturday afternoon at Gelein Field in Carson Park. With the two teams matched up so closely in the conference, it was no surprise that they split the doubleheader, with the Titans taking game one, 7-5 and the Blugolds taking game two, 6-1.

UW-Eau Claire 9, UW-Oshkosh 0
The women's tennis team finished the season by splitting at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Team Tournament at UW-Whitewater today to finish in third place. The Blugolds fell 5-2 to UW-La Crosse, then bounced back with a 9-0 win over UW-Oshkosh.
Men's Outdoor Track & Field
Drake Relays, Gina Relays, Saint Mary's Open
The men's outdoor track & field team competed in three meets in three states this weekend. A few Blugolds were at the Drake Relays in Iowa and a few others were at the Gina Relays in Michigan while the majority of the team was at the Saint Mary's Open in Winona, Minn.

Men's Golf
Saint John's Spring Invitational - T-1st of 18
The men's golf team is tied for first with two other teams after the first round of the Saint John's University Spring Invitational out of a total of 18 teams after recording 296 strokes. Brady Hanson leads the Blugolds, tied for third place out of 97 golfers, finishing the opening round with 71 strokes (-1). Competition will conclude Sunday.
Women's Golf
Carleton College Invitational
The opening day of the Carleton College Invitational completed without all golfers finishing the first round due to lightening. Round one will now be completed Sunday morning before the second round gets underway. Just one Blugold, Katie Moore, completed the day and is tied for 18th place with 91 strokes. A total of 16 golfers, including four Blugolds, were unable to finish their opening round today.
