EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) - Four UW-Eau Claire Athletics teams were in action today, one at home and three on the road.
Women's Indoor Track & Field
St. Thomas Showcase
The women's indoor track & field team came away with wins in two events, competing at the University of St. Thomas Showcase on Friday. Both of the Blugolds' wins came in field events. Additionally, the Blugolds came away with 10 other top-three finishes.
Men's Indoor Track & Field

The men's indoor track & field team came away with wins in four events, competing at the University of St. Thomas Showcase on Friday. Thurgood Dennis won two of the events. Additionally, the Blugolds claimed eight other top-three finishes.
Women's Gymnastics
UW-Eau Claire vs. UW-Oshkosh & Winona State - 2nd of 3
The women's gymnastics team finished in second place out of three teams, competing on Senior and Parents' Night in the Blugolds' home finale tonight. Winona State University (Minn.) won with a score of 181.825 while Eau Claire took second with a score of 181.775. UW-Oshkosh finished in third place with 179.950 points. Elizabeth Stubbs had the Blugolds' top finish of the night as she won the floor exercise with a score of 9.500.
Men's Hockey
UW-Stevens Point 6, UW-Eau Claire 1
The third-ranked Blugold men's hockey team had a tough time at fourth-ranked UW-Stevens Point tonight, falling to the Pointers 6-1 at K.B. Willett Arena. The Pointers got off to a fast start, scoring three goals in the first four minutes and four goals in less than the first nine minutes. The Pointers added another goal in the second period before the Blugolds finally found the back of the net in the third period. But Stevens Point added one more goal before the end and outshot the Blugolds 31-26.
