EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) - Two UW-Eau Claire Athletics teams were in action today, men's hockey at UW-Stout and wrestling at the Pete Willson Invitational in Wheaton, Ill.

Seven Blugolds competed at the Pete Willson Invitational at Wheaton College today. Luke Ortscheid had the best result, competing at 184 pounds, as he went 3-2. Nathaniel Behnke (141 pounds) and Josh Cormican (174 pounds) both finished with 2-2 records. Eau Claire finished day one in 24th place out of 32 teams.

The Blugolds scored two goals in the opening period while adding one in the second and one in the third to shutout the Blue Devils. Ross Andersen led Eau Claire with two goals. Eau Claire outshot Stout 32-23.
