EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) - The UW-Eau Claire men's and women's swimming & diving teams were in action today, competing on the first day of the Pointer Invite at UW-Stevens Point.

UW-Stevens Point Invite - 3rd of 4
The Blugold women's swimming & diving team scored 288 points on day one while UW-La Crosse leads with 533. Minn.-Mankato is in second with 304 points and UW-Stevens Point is in fourth place with 274. Swimming, Elissa Hermsen won one event for Eau Claire, the 200 yard butterfly. The Blugold divers also had a good day, sweeping the top three spots on the one-meter board.

The Blugold men's swimming & diving team scored 394 points on day one while UW-La Crosse leads with 452 and UW-Stevens Point is in second with 441. Swimming, Alex Card won two events, the 200 yard individual medley and the 200 yard breaststroke.
