EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) - Two UW-Eau Claire Athletics teams were in action today and both picked up home victories.
Women's Soccer
UW-Eau Claire 3, Bethel (Minn.) 1
The soccer team started the season with two straight wins, but since then, they have been on a five-game winless streak. Facing a long set of road games in the upcoming weeks, the Blugolds were looking to snap the winless streak at home against Bethel University (Minn.). They did just that, scoring the first three goals of the game, all in the first 30 minutes, on the way to a 3-1 victory at Bollinger Field.
Volleyball
UW-Eau Claire 3, UW-River Falls 0 (25-16, 26-24, 25-17)
The volleyball team won its fifth straight match with a 3-0 victory over UW-River Falls in the McPhee Physical Education Center tonight. Katrina Raskie led the Blugolds with nine kills while Kelly Riesgraf led the match with a .750 hitting percentage, going 6-for-8.
