EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) - The UW-Eau Claire women's tennis team was at home today hosting UW-Whitewater while women's volleyball was at the Carthage College Tournament in Kenosha for two matches.

The loss to Whitewater was the Blugolds' first loss of the season and they are now 3-1. Saturday they will be at home for two more matches.

The volleyball team opened the Carthage College Tournament against 13th-ranked University of Chicago (Ill.) and fell 3-0 before beating Illinois Wesleyan 3-1 to close the day. Kelly Schuh led the Blugolds in kills in both matches. Saturday the Blugolds will play two more matches.
