Nick Hirsch Named William V. Campbell Trophy Semifinalist

DALLAS, Texas (Blugolds.com) – UW-Eau Claire football player Nick Hirsch (Sr.-Wind Lake, Wis./Muskego) has been named a semifinalist for the William V. Campbell Trophy and a candidate for the 2013 National Football Foundation (NFF) Scholar-Athlete Awards, the NFF recently announced.

Hirsch was one of 170 nominees selected from around the country, from any NCAA division and the NAIA. He was one of just 39 nominees from NCAA Division III and one of three from the WIAC.

A wide receiver, Hirsch has started all four games so far this season and has five receptions for 77 yards. In his career, he has played in 31 games, starting 17. He has a total of 35 receptions with 427 yards.
