LAST MEETING BETWEEN THE TEAMS
The two teams last met Nov. 5, 2011 for the Blugolds' last game of the season at home. Whitewater was ranked No. 1 in the nation. Whitewater took the first lead but the Blugolds tied it up at the start of the second quarter (7-7). At halftime, Whitewater led 14-7. The game stayed close until the Warhawks recorded a safety in the third and took a 23-14 lead. After that, in the fourth quarter, Whitewater scored two touchdowns and led 37-14 midway through the final quarter. The Blugolds scored one final TD with seven minutes to play to make the score 37-22. The win for the Warhawks gave them the WIAC title outright. View Last Year's Full Recap
