LAST MEETING BETWEEN THE TEAMS
The Blugolds held off a late Oshkosh comeback to take the 20-14 victory. Strong defensive plays, including a fumble recovery for a touchdown, helped Eau Claire hold a 20-0 lead early in the fourth quarter. Oshkosh scored on each of its final possessions, however, bringing the game within one score in the final three minutes of play. But the Blugolds held on to claim their fourth consecutive victory over Oshkosh. Blugold Joel Sweeney had a standout day, rushing for 232 yards on 42 carries.   • Joel Sweeney scored a TD on a one-yard run to get the Blugolds on the board first
  • Stout answered with a TD late in the first quarter
  • Blugold kicker Josh Albrecht hit a 37-yard FG with 17 seconds left before halftime to give the Blugolds a 10-7 lead
  • Stout's Ricky Marteney answered with a 43-yard FG in the third
