MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (Blugolds.com) - UW-Eau Claire football safety Chad Samuelson (Jr.-St. Paul, Minn./Cretin-Derham Hall) has been named to the week five D3football.com Team of the Week.
With the game tied at 13 all and UW-Stevens Point lining up to kick a 27-yard field goal with less than 10 seconds to play, Samuelson was able to block the kick. He also finished with six tackles on the day (five solos, one assist) as the Blugolds beat the Pointers 20-13 in overtime.
