EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (blugolds.com) — University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire baseball player Drew Salyers (So. - Centennial, Colo./Arapahoe) was named to the D3baseball.com Team of the Week for games held from Feb. 1 through Feb. 19. Salyers is the first player in program history to receive the honor.
Salyers went 6 for 10 to post a .600 batting average across three games at the Rhodes Classic in Memphis, Tenn., last week. He had two multi-hit games at the tournament, scored four runs and drove in one run. He stole four bases, with his three steals in the season opener against Rhodes serving as a career high. He also had three hits in that game, which tied his career best for a single game.
