Dr. John Drawbert has provided orthopedic expertise to the Chippewa Valley area since 1986.  He is an Orthopedic Surgeon and Sports Medicine Specialist with special interest in knee and shoulder surgery. Dr. Drawbert’s surgical specialization includes arthroscopic reconstruction of the knee for ligament injuries, total knee replacement and arthroscopic shoulder surgery. He is a team physician for the UW-Eau Claire since 1987.  Dr. Drawbert also serves at the Medical Director for the UW-Eau Claire Athletic Training Education Program. He was recognized for his contributions to the medical community, especially his dedication to the advancement of the profession of athletic training when he was recognized with a membership into the Wisconsin Athletic Trainers Association Hall of Fame in the spring of 2014.

Along with his contributions to UW-Eau Claire, Dr. Drawbert and his licensed athletic training staff provide athletic injury coverage for many of the area high schools and the Eau Claire Express Baseball team. Dr. Drawbert has also received certification for added qualifications in sports medicine from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
