Dr. Austin Crow, a native of the Twin Cities, first came to the Chippewa Valley in 1999 when he attended UW-Eau Claire. His medical studies and orthopedic training took him across the country but he was excited to return home to the Midwest. He became a member of the UW-Eau Claire sports medicine team in 2014. 

Since graduating from UW-Eau Claire, Crow attended Saint Louis University School of Medicine. After medical school, Crow completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Wisconsin where he had the opportunity to help cover Badger athletic teams including football sideline coverage. Most recently Crow completed a Sports Medicine Fellowship at the University of Virginia where he had training in advanced arthroscopic and open reconstructive procedures of the shoulder, knee and hip. While at Virginia, Crow also had extensive athletic coverage of the Cavalier Athletic teams who compete in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). Dr. Crow is trained in advanced surgical techniques and non-operative treatment of knees, shoulders, ankles, hips and overall athletic care. 

While away from work, Dr. Crow enjoys many outdoor activities with his wife, Jessie, and children, Kellen and Ellie. He also loves watching football, baseball, basketball, wrestling and hockey. He is an active member in the community and volunteers as a coach with his children’s athletic teams. He has published multiple articles and chapters on knee and shoulder reconstruction throughout his training.
