MADISON, Wis. (Blugolds.com) - The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's Madi Zerr (Bristol, WI/Wilmont Union) has been named Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Kwik Trip Athlete of the Week, as was announced by Assistant Commissioner of Media Relations Matt Stanek.
Zerr (So., LHP, Bristol, Wis./Wilmot Union) went 2-0 during the week, picking up shutout wins over UW-Stout (6-0) and UW-River Falls (8-0). She struck out nine in 13 innings of work, scattering six hits and five walks. With the 0.00 ERA for the week, Zerr owns a 2.21 ERA for the season and improves to 6-4 overall.
