Swim and Dive's Miller Named WIAC Kwik Trip Athlete of the Week

MADISON, Wis. (Blugolds.com) - The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's Collin Miller (Sr.—Rochester, MN/Schaeffer Academy) has been named Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Kwik Trip Athlete of the Week, as was announced by Assistant Commissioner of Media Relations Matt Stanek.

Miller went four-for-four in his individual events as the Blugolds competed at the Rochester Invitational Dec. 6-8.  He won the 50-yard freestyle with a school record time of 20.16 seconds. He also won the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 53.61 seconds, which is the top time in the country.  It didn't end there for Miller as he went on to set an NCAA record with a winning time of 49.23 seconds in the 100-yard individual medley and he won the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 1:49.77. Miller was part of four relays, all which placed in the top three of the meet, contributing heavily to UW-Eau Claire's second-place finish out of 10 teams. Miller's breaststroke split in the 400-yard medley relay (54.20 seconds) is currently the fastest split in Division III.
