Two Blugolds Named Kwik Trip WIAC Athlete of the Week

MADISON, Wis. (Blugolds.com) - The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's Cole Rabedeaux, (Sr.--Poulsbo, Wash./North Kitsap) and Erin Connolly, Senior (Mequon, Wis./Homestead) have been named Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Kwik Trip Athletes of the Week, as was announced by Assistant Commissioner of Media Relations Matt Stanek.

Rabedeaux led the Blugolds to a 2-1 record on the week to improve to 4-1 overall on the season. He tallied 57 points in three games, averaging 19.0 points per contest, while shooting 48.9 percent from the field. Against Whitworth University (Wash.) on Nov. 22, Rabedeaux poured in a game-high 26 points, including the game-winning basket at the buzzer to give the Blugolds a 77-75 victory. He made 11-of-18 field attempts in the contest. He scored 17 points in a 75-69 triumph over UW-Superior on Nov. 18, and 14 points in a 56-55 loss to No. 7-ranked Washington University-St. Louis (Mo.) on Nov. 23. Rabedeaux added eight rebounds, six assists and three steals on the week.   

Connolly helped UW-Eau Claire to a 3-1 win at No. 4-ranked UW-River Falls on Nov. 23. She stopped 22-of-23 shots to improve her season record to 4-1 and goals-against-average to 1.00.
