CLEVELAND, Ohio (blugolds.com) – In the final set of fall Learfield Directors' Cup standings, the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire is ranked 11th overall with 229 points.

The Blugolds tallied 80 points in women's cross country with a fourth place finish at the NCAA Championship meet while the men's squad earned 66 points with an 11th place finish. The volleyball team scored the most points (83) for UW-Eau Claire with a third place finish at the national tournament, their highest finish in program history.
Eau Claire is currently the highest ranked school in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC), with UW-La Crosse following in 13th, UW-Whitewater 35th, UW-Stout 99th and UW-Platteville 101st.
The Learfield Directors' Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in NCAA Championships.
