Just south of the university’s Upper Campus is a 40-acre tract now known as the Bollinger Fields, renamed during the summer of 1998 in honor of Blugold Hall of Famer and former Assistant Chancellor Jim Bollinger. The site includes four softball fields, three soccer fields and a rugby field. At Bollinger, the softball team also plays at at the main softball field.
