MADISON, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – UW-Eau Claire men's swimmer Nicholas Meints (Parker, CO / Ponderosa) has been named Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Athlete of the Week, WIAC Assistant Commissioner for Media Relations Matt Stanek announced today.

Meints finished third in the 400-yard individual medley with a time of 4:16.50. He helped the Blugold men to a third-place finish at the JoAnn Andregg Invite hosted by the University of St. Thomas (Minn.) on Nov. 11. The sophomore also finished 8th in the 200 yard backstroke and was apart of the the 6th place 400 yard medley relay. 

Meints and the swim and dive team will compete again on December 1st at the Rochester Invite.
