Glidden Earns Back-to-Back WIAC Athlete of the Week Honors

MADISON,WIS.(Blugolds.com)-For the second consecutive week UW-Eau Claire women's track athlete Sarah Glidden (Greenville,Wis. / Hortonville) has been named Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Athlete of the Week, as announced by WIAC Assistant Commissioner for Media Relations Matt Stanek earlier today.

Last week Glidden earned the honor with her performance in the 400-meter hurdles and with the first place 4x400 relay team at the Platteville Invitational. This week, the senior won the heptathlon at the Phil Esten Challenge on April 22 with a score of 4,918. Her score breaks her own school record and ranks her second in NCAA Division III in this event. Glidden also ranks fourth in the nation in the high jump with her jump of 5-6 (1.68m) in the heptathlon. 

Glidden and the Blugolds will compete at the Drake Relays in Des Moines, IA  on Friday April 27.
