MADISON, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – UW-Eau Claire men's diver Dylan Glumac-Berberich (Fridley, Minn.) and women's swimmer Jessica Short (Grafton, Wis.) have each been named Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Athlete of the Week, WIAC Assistant Commissioner for Media Relations Matt Stanek announced today.
Glumac took second in the one-meter diving event finishing with a final score of 451.75 at the Rochester (Minn.) Invitational. UW-Eau Claire placed fourth in the 12-team competition.
Short finished fourth in the 200-yard individual medley (2:09.14), seventh in the 50-yard freestyle (24.58), seventh in the 100-yard backstroke (58.44) and eighth in the 100-yard freestyle (53.80) for the Blugolds at the Rochester (Minn.) Invitational held Dec. 1-3.
The swimming and diving teams will be back in action after the first of the year. Both teams will travel to UW-Stevens Point on January 19th and 20th.
