MADISON, Wis. (Blugolds.com) -Senior wrestler, Nathan Behnke (Bruce, Wis.), was named the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Athlete of the Week, as announced by WIAC Assistant Commissioner for Media Relations Matt Stank earlier today.

 Behnke went 3-0 at 141 pounds at the Candlewood Suite Duals hosted by UW-La Crosse this weekend. He hit his 100th career victory after a 6-4 win over Adam Presler of Concordia College-Moorhead (Minn.) in the first round. Against No. 10-ranked Augsburg College (Minn.), Behnke recorded the only victory, winning by major decision over Aaron Wilson, 18-4. Behnke earned his third win of the day with a decision over Justin Haneke (7-4) of Southwest Minnesota State University.

 The Blugold wrestlers continue their season on Friday, December 11th as they take on UW-La Crosse at home.
