MADISON, Wis. (Blugolds.com) - The University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire women’s basketball player Erin O'Toole was named Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Athlete of the Week as announced by Assistant Commissioner of Media Relations, Matt Stanek.
O’Toole averaged 24 points and 7.5 rebounds per game during the week. She had a season-high 35 points in a 81-67 victory at UW-Stout on Jan. 13. O’Toole was 14 of 21 (67%) from the floor and 7 of 8 from the free throw line, while adding seven rebounds and four blocked shots. Her 35-point performance places her with four other Blugolds for third on the school’s single-game scoring list. She had 13 points and eight rebounds in a 71-62 loss at UW-River Falls on Jan. 16.
The Blugolds are back in action January 20th in Zorn Arena against UW-Platteville.
